Jake (Jason Yee) is debt $100k to a mob boss so he gets a job as an escort bodyguard where he falls in love with Sandy (Samantha Streets), a pretty and young prostitute. After finding her murdered Jake sets out to find out who killed her by betraying his boss and tracking down “Johns” and questioning/torturing them.

Throughout the film you see flash backs of Jake taking Sandy out to see various Johns and him having to protect her. You can tell the two a starting to have some kind of chemistry between each other. It’s then he finds out she is only 16 and he turns into the good guy. Hey girl, you should get out of this lifestyle, I really care for you and even though we are doing illegal activities I don’t want to get in trouble and you’re only 16, you don’t know what’s good for you, besides having sex with random guys for money. You know, that type of guy.

The Girl From The Naked Eye is a very predictable movie filled with plenty of nudity, dirty cops, dirty whores and tons of martial arts goodness. Sometimes comical because of how slow hits are and some delayed reactions. I was very upset that Sasha Grey is being top billed but was in the movie for literally 70 seconds. I had to go back and time it. I kept expecting more but she never returns. The character of Sandy is very cute and you can see how maybe you would fall in love with this prostitute also, but I mean, when she turns 18, right fellas? The problem I had with Jake’s character is there was no real backstory. He is just kind of there. Simon (Ron Yuan), “the bad guy” was your typical bad guy and probably the most believable character out of all of them. All in all the movie does flow well and there weren’t any lulls in action. It’s a movie I would catch on Netflix when you’ve got nothing better to do.
