If you were worried that Ubisoft wouldn’t contribute to the glut of Zombie entertainment lately, then worry not! We learned during Ubisoft’s presser today that the Sam Fisher studio’s first big game for Nintendo’s upcoming Wii U console will be a “zombie survival horror first-person shooter” called ZombiU.
It’s as regular as clockwork – whenever Nintendo announces cheery, colorful new hardware, you can expect some kind of “mature” title to be announced shortly thereafter, as if to show the world that Nintendo’s consoles can get just as bloody and dirty as everyone else.
The big news (which the game’s title gives away) is that ZombiU is exclusive to Nintendo’s new hardware and is designed to “take advantage of the Wii U’s revolutionary new controller.” It’s not clear yet exactly how ZombiU will play using the Wii U’s touch-screen controller, but we’ll keep you posted as we learn more during E3.
In the meantime, get your zombie fix and check out the extremely cool “freeze-frame” trailer straight from Ubisoft.
