Phoenix Comicon – Johnny’s Take

We managed to fit in an interview with the cool guys over at Phi3 Comics, who gave us a bunch of swag.

We also sat down with Jillian Squires, the Phoenix Comicon Marketing Director. Jillian was thrilled with the attendance at this year’s Comicon and predicted an even bigger event next year. I suspect that her prediction will come true – moments after our interview, the main hall got so full that the Fire Marshall had to close it to new entrants for a while.

 

The Phoenix Comicon is about one-fifth the size of the Grand Daddy San Diego Comic-Con. It’s been in the Phoenix Convention Center for just two years, so it’s well on its way to being a big player in the con circuit.
