Kickstarter Reward: Gabe will shout out your name as he chases a duck
By pledging at least $1 to Penny Arcade’s Kickstarter, you were to be immortalized in video as Mike Krahulik read your name while chasing a duck. For those ever-patient, you can spend fifty-one minutes watching Mike read off those 2,541 names.
In my critique of Penny Arcade’s Kickstarter, a reward like this was a petty incentive to donate money to their cause. Seeing Mike in motion though, my cold heart has melted ever slightly. I’m glad that they’ll end up creating Automata content, but I’m still not satisfied that we’re not going to see an Android comic viewer, something that would be particularly fitting on a tablet.
More power to Mike, though: there’s no way I could wander around on a cold day in the Pacific Northwest reading that many names. That’s just ridiculous.
