Humble Bundle – Indie Games For Charity

Posted by on December 13, 2011 at 9:09 pm

So here’s what’s up…

You go to the site and select a bundle then scroll down and tell them how much you’d like to give for that bundle. I’m looking at bundle #4 right now, which includes 5 cross-platform indy games and the price options are:

$100.00

$50.00

$25.00

$15.00

and custom amount.

Once you selected a payment option, you get to tell the system how much of your payment you want to go to whome, with the choices being developers, charity and “humble tip” which goes to humblebundle.com for their time and bandwidth.

It should also be mentioned that you get bonuses if you pay more than the average offered price. On bundle #4 you get 2 extra games if you meet that amount and the current amount is…get this…$5.28. So if you spend more than $5.28, you get 7 cross-platform indy games instead of 5.

The titles in the bundle are : Jamestown, Bit.Trip Runner, Super Meat Boy, Shank, and NightSky HD, The charities this particular bundle benefits are The American Red Cross and Child’s Play Charity – which provides games and gaming systems for sick kids in the hospital. That’s a pretty worthy charity, if you ask me.

So, I think you should all head on over to Humble Bundle and start giving. It is, after all, the season.

And before you ask, no, flesheatingzipper.com has not received a single penny in advertising money from this group, nor will we. I’m spreading the word because I think this is a good cause for a good price.
