Disney Interactive Has Lost $1.25B In The Past Year And A Half

It’s all Goofy’s fault.

Disney just can’t figure out how to make non-Disney games. For years, the company’s animation business had been over a barrel following Katzenberg’s departure, but Pixar eventually righted the good ship. Unfortunately, their game publishing business has not been so successful, having lost money for the past 18 consecutive months, ultimately bleeding $1.25 billion from the parent company.

‘Medal of Honor: Warfighter’ Campaign Review: Who Signed Off On This?

Don’t open that door, it leads to hours of wasted time.

I never played the reboot of Medal of Honor or read any of the reviews. I jumped into Medal of Honor: Warfighter with a clear head thinking I was in for a treat. Oh, how wrong I was. Medal of Honor: Warfighter fails at the most basic things and drags you along with a confusing story until it ended, signified when I was given a bunch of achievements and told it was done. Then cutscene, Linkin Park and credits. Read the rest of this article…

Google Just Unveiled The Holidays’ Best Tablet: The Nexus 10

Sexy and you know it.

I almost feel sorry for Microsoft at this point. Two years ago I was pining for a Windows Phone, but then they failed to release it for my carrier. When they finally did, I wasn’t about to trade my Epic for it. Then I said my first tablet would feature Windows 8, but then Google brought us a $200 Jelly Bean device in the Nexus 7. Now Google and Samsung bringing us a fantastic new tablet that’s gonna put a mobile Windows 8 further into my rear view mirror. Forget the iPad Mini, the Nexus 10 is gonna be the tablet to gift this holiday, yo.

‘Primal Carnage’ Review: Hold On To Your Butts/Tails

LOL

Primal Carnage, a multiplayer game where anyone can choose to fight as a human or dinosaur, was released earlier today on Steam. You can bet your bottom dollar that when the word “dinosaur” and “video game” appear in the same sentence, I’m going to be reviewing the hell out of it.

‘Hotline Miami’ Review: Release Your Inner Psychopath [UPDATED]

I’m just gonna leave this here…

Don’t you remember being a kid in a video or book store (back when those still existed) and happening upon that eerie or disturbing sleeve, one that informed you that you’d be in trouble if your parents caught you looking at it? The one with the bloody eyeballs, the huge cleavage, or the big pink text that contains ‘sex’ in it? Hotline Miami is that, in game form, for adults.

Cloud Atlas Review: The Most Ambitious Mainstream Film in Recent Memory

Pictured: the future. Also, Tom Hanks and Halle Berry

The last time the Wachowski siblings directed a good movie, Bill Clinton was in the White House and Lana Wachowski was a man. Now along comes Cloud Atlas, the duo’s most ambitious film to date and a fine film in its own right. Well, at least I think it’s a fine movie. Cloud Atlas will likely divide movie goers into two camps: those who think it’s a top notch piece of scifi entertainment and those who think it’s a silly piece of new age bullshit. Paul Ceglia, The Guy Who Is Trying to Sue Facebook, Arrested For Fraud

A good day for Facebook!

Back in 2003 Paul Ceglia had a contract with Mark Zuckerberg to build a site called StreetFax. According to Ceglia, he and Zuckerberg made an agreement on April 28, 2003 with a fee of $1,000 which entitled Ceglia to 50 percent of the website’s revenue, as well as an additional 1 percent interest in the business per day after January 1, 2004 (if Zuckerberg was tardy in deploying the site), until the website was completed.
