Worms Revolution Review: Bringing Back Classic Gaming Fun
The classiest Worms yet!
Worms Revolution is a new game coming to XBLA, PSN and PC October 10th for 1200 MSP or $14.99 respectively from Team17 Software. I haven’t played Worms in years, YEARS. The other Worms titles that have hit XBLA kind of skipped over me but when I heard of Worms Revolution I knew I had to jump on it. The game has the same feel as the classic Worms games but it just looks better and has incorporated more to the game. There are several game modes to play; campaign, puzzle, versus and online. Each one has it’s ups and downsides and I think people will figure out which game mode they like best and stick to it for a while. Read the rest of this article…
Zynga Shares Fall After Q3 Loss
It’s a doggy dog world.
If you’re like me, then you probably hate those obnoxious game-related messages from your friends that clutter up your Facebook feed. “Sam just found this pointless virtual object!” “Gary needs your help in this silly game!” Well, I won’t go so far as to call it Karma, but Zynga – the company behind a lot of that spam – just took a big stock hit after announcing a Q3 loss this week.

Rurouni Kenshin On The Big Screen? I Want That.
First scars from war.
Quite a buzz has been stirring in the latest adaptation of the Rurouni Kenshin comics (and anime), a full 2 hour live-action movie produced by Warner Brothers. Not only does it accurately re-tell the entire story of Kenshin, apparently it does it well. A recent article about the movie was recently written by Kotaku, and they rave that it’s a “nearly perfect film adaptation”.

SimCity Already Game Of The Year? EA Releases New Gameplay Video
People arrive by the trainload to gamble. Trains! Gambling!
The more I see of Electronic Arts’ SimCity reboot, the more I like it. I was skeptical that Maxis could pull off such a thorough reinvention of the series, but as layers are peeled away, we see how they’ve turned SimCity from a grid-based simulation based on a number of abstractions to a game in which roads and zones can be planted freely and each aspect of the city is modeled piece by piece, not unlike how strategy games Of Olde like RollerCoaster Tycoon handled individual tourists.

People Don’t Like Adele’s “Skyfall” For The New Bond Film? Huh?
Let the skyyyy faaaaaaallllllll…
We know we’re getting close to the release of a new Bond film when its theme song releases to the masses. Adele isn’t on my radar musically, but I can’t deny she’s incredibly talented. That said, people are giving her new song, the appropriately titled Skyfall, some noise for not being as iconic as previous themes. So with that, I decided to take a look at the past decade’s worth of Bond themes and compare them.
