If you’ve been on Facebook in the past, oh, say, ever, you’ve seen the addition of OpenGraph apps. What does that mean? It allows people to share the music they’re listening to, the food they just got a recipe for, or in our case today, share what FleshEatingZipper articles you read! The more you and your friends read our articles, the more the word of FleshEatingZipper spreads! So how does it work? Let me explain…
In order to take advantage of the FleshEatingZipper Social Reader, you’ll need to approve the app. (Obviously if you’re not interested in sharing this info, you can just skip out.) By enabling it, any article you read will be shared with others, and when combined with the results of your friends, compile into the Trending Articles widget you see above. When you’re on the site, you’ll see the application widget in the corner, right above our reviews, like below.
In the picture above, the FleshEatingZipper application has already been enabled, but if you haven’t done so already, it’ll display a ‘Share with Facebook’ icon and tie into your Facebook profile. If you see the picture above, because you may have already activated your profile to work with FleshEatingZipper’s Facebook Comments system before, you’ll need to take the following steps to enable sharing.
In short, we need to delete the FleshEatingZipper app and then re-accept it. In Step 1, find the App Center tab on your Facebook Home screen. In Step 2, you’ll need to select My Apps at the bottom of the listing. In Step 3, you’ll need to find the FleshEatingZipper app and remove it by clicking the X in the corner of its box. Once you’ve done this, you can return to FleshEatingZipper and see the ‘Share with Facebook’ option once more. Click that and you’ll be able to share FEZ articles!
Help spread the word of FleshEatingZipper and the world will become at least 18% cooler. We guarantee it!
