Squadron 42/Star Citizen is almost certainly the most anticipated release of all time in the space sim category. Chris Roberts (Wing Commander, now with Cloud Imperium Games) is almost certainly the best known and most skilled creator of space games in the history of space games. This year at E3, I had the opportunity to sit down with him and have a talk about the upcoming title and the future of the most massive video game undertaking he’s ever attempted. If word from Giant Bomb’s ever-reliable Patrick Klepek is to be believed, then Microsoft is ready to ditch the DRM tentpole of their Xbox One strategy that’s received such an epic backlash over the past week. Two months ago, Toronto-based Whirlscape went to Indiegogo to get their new Minuum virtual keyboard made for Android. The premise was simple – compress the entire keyboard into a single line that didn’t take up 40% of your display’s real estate – but it was obvious there was a lot of masterful engineering required behind the scenes, much of it done in time for their pitch. Despite the Play Store’s best attempts to hold it back, the beta keyboard is now finally getting out and about and I’ve now had my time with it. So how does it work?

Reports are coming in pointing to an issue related with the newest firmware update for the PS3. The update in question is 4.45 and is widest reported amongst users that have upgraded their hard drives or users that have the 500GB version. People reporting the issues on Sony’s PlayStation Community site explain that the PS3 is stuck in at the startup screen and power cycling the console isn’t doing anything.
