Zooey Deschanel of Elf, (500) Days of Summer and nerd crushes everywhere has signed on to do a Fox comedy pilot. The show, currently without a name because the original title “Chicks and Dicks” was too awesome for Fox, will follow the ups and downs of a clumsy girl who moves in with three guys. If that isn’t a zany situation for comedy, I don’t know what is!
Zooey Deschanel’s sister Emily already stars on Fox’s forensic comedy-drama Bones. Either there’s a little nepotism going on behind the scenes, or David Boreanaz is secretly trying to orchestrate a threesome.
Maybe it’s just me, but I’ve noticed that Zooey Deschanel is something of a poster girl for nerds everywhere. Is it her girl-next-door looks, her sultry singing voice or her snarky dialogue delivery that has made her one of the internet’s most lusted-after actresses? Tune in to Fox this fall and find out.
Unless the show is even remotely good, in which case Fox will promptly cancel it.
