The deal started out with “The Dark Knight” being made available to Facebook members, in exchange for Facebook credits. The deal allowed users to buy 48 hours worth of “rental”, after which the viewing window would close. Kinda like Movies To Go with no late fees.
Now, Warner Brothers is going to add 5 more titles to the Facebook library. Those titles are:
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Life as We Know It
I don’t know about the last 2, as far as ratings, but we all know that the first 3 on the list were raging blockbusters at the box office so it’s fair to say Facebook is going to be getting a lot of traffic over the next several weeks.
Looks like Farmville’s going to be lagging.
