Halo 4 Game AND Halo Movie Due Out In 2012? HUSH YO MOUPH!

Posted by on October 11, 2011 at 9:16 pm

Halo 4. Halo movies.

The original trilogy captivated millions. The announcement of a Halo movie blew minds, world wide.

Recently, a rumor has been circulating that the “on indefinite hold” Halo movie will be making a comeback, featuring the talents of Steven Spielberg and Dreamworks.

Is this true?

Unfortunately, it’s not.

The rumor originated from a press release, but it has been summarily denied by Microsoft. Here’s what they had to say.

“The information in the press release in question is inaccurate. We have no plans for a Halo feature film right now. Our focus is on developing Halo: Anniversary and Halo 4.”

I don’t know why these rumors don’t just stop, the second they are officially denied but, for some reason, they persist.

This was shot down days ago and the reason we didn’t pick it up was because it happened so quickly, we figured the whole thing would have just died before it had a chance to take off but, like everything else on the interwebs, it spread like a wildfire made out of melted butter.

Please allow me to repeat what Microsoft said, one more time, for those of you who are blocking out the first quote:

“The information in the press release in question is inaccurate. We have no plans for a Halo feature film right now. Our focus is on developing Halo: Anniversary and Halo 4.”

So there you have it, it’s official. There will be NO halo movie in 2012.

Before you all go and kick the chair out, though, you could take a moment to read between the lines. They said “right now”. That doesn’t mean “ever”.

So, Halo fans, keep your little fingers crossed and look to the horizon. You never know what may come…For the time being, though, please stop spamming this poopie to every forum and every Facebook account and every email you come in contact with. You’re making The Baby Jesus cry.

Thank you.
