You haven’t seen strategized marketecture quite like this. To sell you on their valuable position in, I don’t know, keeping people alive in hospitals, General Electric has employed Hugo Weaving, with the blessing of the Wachowskis and Warner Brothers, as Agent Smith. An evil dude.
If you’ve seen any of the Matrix films, you’ll understand how ironic and unsettling this whole thing is, but maybe you’ll also understand that this is probably the best batch of filmed Matrix material since the original movie released in 1999. As Smith wanders through the hospital, he explains the point of having such an elaborate network of machines working together to help mankind.
Of course, the last time Agent Smith had something nice to say about humanity (did he ever?), we were being used as lifeless batteries. Good call, General Electric, we’ll be your batteries for you. Well, I guess if we never got sick or injured, they wouldn’t be able to sell hospital equipment… they sure did get me there!
