It’s a weird day when you’re pining to see a Baz Luhrmann film. Unlike most of you guys, I didn’t get to read The Great Gatsby in high school and since I didn’t, I never bothered to read it afterward, either. Apparently it’s a big deal, an incredible story of a man who will go to some pretty extreme lengths to impress a girl. Or something, I don’t know.

Anyway, Baz Luhrmann, dude is responsible for some of the eccentric films I’ve ever seen. As a kind of thought experiment in that same high school I didn’t see The Great Gatsby, we watched his (and several other) version(s) of Romeo & Juliet. Later, I managed to sit through Moulin Rouge, somehow, but now, with Gatsby, he’s created a film I wanted to see using that visual craft he’s built for so long.

This movie inspires me more and more with each new tease, so I’d advise you peep it immediately!
