My goodness, what a tease!
After the last elimination, it was hard to say what our artists’ next challenge would be, but a three-way challenge seemed likely. Yep. In a bit of a twist, Mike and Jerry came before Abby, Maki and Katie and announced they would be going home to work on their new comics from their home base for the next two months. Loading Ready Run then got into each artist’s space to reveal how they work.
The challenge? Make their own comic strip in two months.
Katie was excited at the premise, but I might’ve been terrified. I left for a week and a half to Seattle where I watched all my new friends disappear day by exhausting day, then was now back in my real life once more to concoct a strip on top of my every day life. Yeah, I get that all comic strips start that way, which is why they must’ve been under pressure the entire flippin’ time.
Still, there’s a question of logistics. The final episodes will be aired in a live ceremony on the 18th and online at the same time, but the episode concludes two months after the show’s original filming, which was in December, placing the conclusion three months ago. I don’t know how this little draft of time travel will conclude, but it’ll be another week (after E3, thankfully!) before we find out.
