Activision Laying Off 500 After Guitar Hero’s & True Crime’s Production was Called Off

Hearing stories like this really piss me off, and no it’s not because I just started getting into these type of games, luckily I bought Rock Band because I still have a chance to get more games. Why did Activision stop production of Guitar Hero? Decline in people wanting to buy music genre games and wanting to find more profitable ventures. Well maybe if there was 24 titles across the gaming platform in only 5 years people would still be interested in the music genre? Don’t believe me?

Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero II, Guitar Hero II: Legends of Rock, Guitar Hero World Tour, Guitar Hero 5, Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, Guitar Hero: Metallica, Guitar Hero: Van Halen, Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s, Guitar Hero Smash Hit and Band Hero. Not to mention DJ Hero and DJ Hero 2 plus the mobile platform titles.

Good luck to the people that got laid off, now that there is no competition maybe they can get a job at Harmonix and bring them back to life. BUT I don’t want a god damn game every 3 months, one a year will be fine and get more good songs! I get so pissed when I see they have Sponge Bob Square Pants songs but no Don Henley – Boys of Summer?
