So there I was, tooling around on the interwebs, looking for something fun to do to take my mind off the fact that the inside of my face is like the Gifford Collection sweat-shop of snot factories and, lo and behold, I stumbled across a GEM!
The game is called “Entanglement” and is one of those which are easy to learn but will probably take 12 lifetimes to master, right after which you’ll likely reach complete spiritual enlightenment and become a ball of glowing energy.
The idea of the game is to form a pathway that is a long as possible, without touching the sides or middle of the playing field.
Again, the concept itself is pretty simple. You use the arrow keys or scroll-wheel to rotate the tile and then click or hit the space bar to lock it in place. The problem is, once you’ve dropped the tile, you don’t know what you’re going to get next and that next tile could run you straight into a wall or link up with other tiles that do the same.
The game has single and multiplayer modes available as well as more “maps” available as an expansion that costs $1.99. I’ve only played one of the expansion maps, so far, but it’s pretty interesting. You’re given a limited number of tiles and have to run the path through what appear to be little bushes on the playing field.
Each time you hit a bush, you get another tile so, in effect, one could go on for quite some time. If one’s strategy was sound which mine obviously isn’t…
So if you’re bored and want to pass the time with something other than lining up shapes and colors, check this one out. Even the free mode seems like it could give hours of enjoyment.
