Mass Effect 2 Collectible Figures Future Is Unclear

Posted by on March 7, 2011 at 2:15 pm

With the first run of action figures set for release in April, future releases of the collectibles may or may not come to pass.

A now deleted post seen on the BioWare forums had this to say about the upcoming first run release of the figures.

Once we get the ME2 Action Figure shipped we will not be working with DC Direct again. Their handling of this issue has been extremely unprofessional and disrespectful to fans.

So it looks like BioWare is going to have to find another company to produce and distribute the action figures if we are to ever see a second, more extensive run. At this time, the characters which will be available will include the default Shepard model, Grunt, Thane and Tali.

I, for one, am hoping they are able to find someone to complete the series.

If not, though, those of you who have the original figures on pre-order will be holding on to some pretty exclusive stuff. Keep them mint and they may be worth something someday.
