Rumor Mill – “Leaked Internal Video” From Microsoft Shows The Future Of Windows Gaming?

Well, there’s definitely a video…that’s no rumor at all. The real rumor is that the video was leaked from an internal source at Microsoft and shows the direction Microsoft wants to go with its Windows Gaming eXperience, or WGX.

God I hope this isn’t true…Video after the jump.

In the above video (if it’s real) you can clearly tell that Microsoft wants to somehow combine social networks, Windows gaming and micro-transactions, seemingly in an effort to make one huge, happy gaming world for everyone out there. Or, to take a huge shit on the heads of gamers everywhere…I can’t tell.

What is clear is that the above mentioned facets exist, in spades. Facebook, Microsoft Points, avatars, stupid little dress-up games and live chat are all showcased.

What does this mean for the world of windows gaming? I don’t know. Leave a comment and tell me what you think!

(Also, let’s hope Microsoft’s spelling of the word “pwned” isn’t indicative of how viable their plan is. If so, we should all just go buy Atari 2600’s and play combat ’til our eyes bleed)

Eh, not to much to worry about bruh.

  • There’s something very strange about this video, from the branding and lack of logos to the purpose of it. It’s leaked, fine. Internal, it seems very much aimed at customers. Tad bit strange.

    • Yeah, I’m not sure the whole background on this thing but the “rumor” is that it was an internal thing. May be a proof that’s not quite finished yet. I guess we’ll have to see where it leads.
