Today, 345 games has released the second in the Deadliest Warrior franchise – inspired by the Spike TV show of the same name – on XBOX live.
Yeah…That dude just got his head chopped off. How awesome is THAT?!
Based on the television series, the Deadliest Warrior game franchise pits old school warriors against one another in battles to the death. Offering 9 combatants, as opposed to 8 in the first game, players will face off against enemies in one on one duels which will feature more realistic combat and damage modeling than its predecessor, including the ability to break and remove limbs and end fights nearly instantly.
The first of the series sold over 450,000 copies on XBOX live in the year since its release and developers expect the second release to do just as well, or better.
Considering the new features, more combat areas, improved visuals, more combat options, a campaign mode and a new strategy game mode, called “Generals”, we think it may do just that.
Deadliest Warrior : Legends sells for 800 MS Points ($10) and is available now on live. It will also be released on PSN, at the same price, later this month.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go chop off someone’s nuts.
