Post-E3-2012 Shenanigans…New Games Coming!

We all know a lot of crazy stuff went down at E3 and we all know that, during the hustle and bustle of the largest gaming show in the world, a lot of things can get lost in the mix. Of course they do…and when they do, we get to spend some time playing catch up on some of the one which slip through the cracks.

Here it is, just a couple of weeks after E3 and we’ve been asked to review a few titles which got buried, between the launch of a particular Blizzard game and the big show.

Some of the games we’re going to be reviewing over the next several days aren’t huge titles but they look like a lot of fun. Of them, 3 indy games stand out from the crowd and we’re working on playing them through now so we can bang out some good information for all of you gamers out there.

What we’re looking at, as far as the indy titles, looks like this:

We’ve got “Gas Guzzlers: Combat Carnage” from a Croatian development house called Gamepires. So far what we’ve seen are some pretty good visuals and shoot-em-up gameplay…Think racer meets shooter.

Cars + ‘Splosives = oh yeah!

Next we’ve got a title called “Resonance”, which is a joint venture between Wadjet Eye and xii games. This is an old school adventure game in the style of Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders. They even use old-school style sprites. So far this is a good one!

GOD I miss the old adventure games. Hopefully, this one will pass muster!

And last, we’ve got “Tiny & Big: Grandpa’s Leftovers”. The only thing I know about this one is that you’re out ro get your grandaddy’s underwear back from your arch-nemesis…a guy named “Big”. I’m really not sure where that one’s going to take us but we’re looking forward to finding out.

This one, I’m scared of. Grandpa’s DRAWERS?! Even my grandmother wouldn’t touch those.

And also coming up in the future will be reviews and information on a bunch of big titles like Bullet Run, Planetside 2 and heaps of others so make sure you keep an eye out!
