Well, there’s not a whole lot going on in the gaming world today…That is to say there’s not a lot of information floating around out there, mostly because PAX is over and everyone is on holiday; So here are some short tidbits from the world of gaming to hold you folks over until the information pipeline opens up again.
The Planetside 2 beta is moving along nicely. Sony online entertainment is rolling out patches on a regular basis and with each one, the game is getting tighter and tighter. There’s also the matter of John Smedley’s blog, in which he has posted some information about things we will be seeing in the future.
Here’s one of my favorites:
1) Player Owned bases – we plan on releasing continents that are empty or partially empty where players can build their own bases. These are open world bases so others will be able to attack them. We’re also planning on having these continents heavily resource based with new resource types that will be very rare..and lots of cool new stuff that can be built out of these new resources.
Oh yeah…Player owned bases and rare resources? That’s hot!
Also, make sure you check out our live stream. We’re up almost every day sharing some planetside 2 hotness with all of you.
On the Darksiders 2 front, we have a little bit of information, too. It seems that the folks over at xploder.net have some cheat saves for Darksiders. There’s a lot going on there but here’s some information about one of them:
The normal version taking you to the Dreadfort, armed with a variety of level set weapons (including a mighty possessed secondary weapon Xploder has lovingly dubbed “the Doomblades”), a fair chunk of money and all your skillpoints staggered through the harbinger tree. For death rides however they’ve managed to take you clean past the forge world and loaded you with plenty of kit and cash to survive whatever will come your way, also granting you the ability to command the dead themselves!

And last on the docket for today, Knight Age – a free to play riding action MMO – has hit official release. The folks over at Joymax have moved it from beta to full on go-time, as of today. Here’s some information about that game.
Knight Age’s prime feature (and the feature Facebook fans voted their #1 feature) is the unique riding-action feature where battles occur on mounts. Mounts can be raised and strengthened with skills to befit the player’s taste. There was already a variety of mounts to choose from but with the official release players will find even more.
You can check that one out at http://www.joymax.com/knightage/.
That’s going to be it for tonight but check back in for more gaming hotness tomorrow. We’ll be here so you should be, too!
