We at FleshEatingZipper are not very big fans of 3D technology. That being said even if you hate 3D you will still want to read this. Be prepared to see a boat load of advertisements for Black Ops II and & LG Cinema 3D TV’s. Black Ops II will support 3D-enabled gameplay – delivering a state-of-the-art 3D experience across single player, multiplayer and Zombies game modes. This is cool if you are into 3D and own a LG Cinema 3D TV or looking to buy one.
Not only is Activision & LG promoting this together but you will receive a discount if you buy Black Ops II and a LG Cinema 3D TV together. No word on the discount as I’m sure it’s going to be based on the size of the TV. This promotion will be available pretty much every retailer and starts November 11th and ends on the 21st. If you want to get a glimpse of what Black Ops II will look like in 3D, select Best Buy stores have an exclusive 3D trailer to show it off.
Now here is the the continue reading part. The LG Cinema 3D TV has a sweet sweet feature called Dual Play. Dual Play works by applying LG’s Cinema 3D technology to a 2D split-screen game; the effect is two 2D images projected simultaneously. Dual Play glasses (required and sold separately) come with either two left or two right-eye lenses, so instead of combining those images, the lenses filter only one image to each user. The result is the magnificence of the full screen for both players. Gamers have no fear, Dual Play works with most current gaming systems or even older consoles as long as it is a split-screen game.
