‘Hotline Miami 2’ Is A Real Thing That’s Coming And I Want It

I'm just gonna leave this here...

More senseless blood and gore? Oh yes. Oh… yes.

Hotline Miami was this close to being my game of the year of 2012 and so it brings me great joy that while the Dennaton guys were about to hop off to a new IP altogether, they’re actually bringing us a sequel that’ll take place in the 90210-themed nineties.

Announced for PC and PlayStation Vita (they may ship on both simultaneously), the game will feature a parallel plot to the original game and ultimately be “the grand finale” to the series, the last thoughts that Dennaton have on the matter. Don’t expect any grand ideas or radical gameplay changes though: this is really more Hotline Miami and that sounds just fine to me. If you haven’t played the game, and you should, I can’t recommend it nearly enough. That is, unless, you’re not up for filling the shoes of a severely inebriated serial killer who slashes, blasts, and otherwise murderizes his way through levels through rapid trial and error.

No release date was specified, but I imagine it’ll be out later this year. Just guessing.
