Yes. All of this.

Yes. All of this.

Did you think last year’s amazing Far Cry 3 could’ve been, I don’t know, weirder? This game’s been making the rounds in the past few weeks, but there’s now enough information out in the wild to guarantee that Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is my most-anticipated game of the moment. Taking place in the distant year of 2007 and featuring 80s sci-fi star Michael Biehn (Aliens, The Terminator), this game’s link to Far Cry 3 seems pretty tenuous, but who cares? It looks so siiiiick.

As the story goes:

Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon is THE Kick-Ass Cyber Shooter taking place on a bizarre open-world island crawling with evil. Welcome to an 80’s VHS vision of the future. The year is 2007 and you are Sargent Rex Colt, a Mark IV Cyber Commando who’s fighting against a cyborg army gone rogue. Your mission: get the girl, kill the baddies, and save the world. Experience every cliché of a VHS era vision of a nuclear future, where cyborgs, blood dragons, mutants, and Michael Biehn (Terminator, Aliens, Navy Seals) collide. Playing Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon doesn’t require a copy of Far Cry® 3.

But on top of that, the game features a pounding darkwave soundtrack that will get Tron fans in line. Oh my god, my face is melting soooo haaaaarrrrrrd.

Oh, and the game’s out May 1 via (at least) Xbox Live Arcade, but probably other platforms.
