‘Grand Theft Auto V’ Creates New Religion, Is Pretty Amazing

Give your mind. Give your wallet.

Give your mind. Give your wallet.

It just wouldn’t be a Grand Theft Auto game without a massive reservoir of well-produced satire tucked into its wings. GTAV is no doubt Rockstar’s biggest production to date (I can’t quantify this in any way, except to say it probably is), so it makes sense that in their incredible reproduction of Los Santos, they’d bring in one of the town’s wackier elements: a Scientology riff.

The Epsilon Program sounds a bit like Sea Org doesn’t it? I’ll let you stare at the video below, but I think I know how this all boils up. You’ll do a mission for these guys in the new game under the pretense of their religious duties, but it’ll all end up being some ironic cover scheme by an ironic founder to deal vice around town. Sound accurate? I’m not saying that’s how it is, but if there were truly someone who believed in this nonsense, this might be too far in Saints Row territory.
