Pew pew!

Pew pew!

Okay, obviously this one-man show isn’t gonna beat the pants off the complexities of Star Citizen, but this game does a little dream fulfillment all its own. As a space dude in Xeno Galaxies, you’ll get to build and fly your ship across the galaxy to do all kinds of stuff. He needs your help, though. With 58 days remaining, Xeno Galaxies‘ Indiegogo drive is still a few dollars shy of its $90,000 goal.

Visually, the game looks somewhere between derivative and ugly, but c’mon now, that’s not the point. A lot of love’s already gone into this game and the potential is pretty amazing. Being able to trade, pirate, build and destroy in a potentially huge galaxy is a very tantalizing offer. Have you ever wanted to intercept and board an alien vessel, then steal its vital components for cash? You can totally do that! I’m glad the voxel revolution has brought about such clever twists in old formulas.
