Does Activision care about gamers? They say so!

This morning we sat down and watched the Microsoft reveal for the new Xbox, which they’re calling Xbox One. We even took the opportunity to live-blog about it as the heads of a few different companies took the stage and made announcements about their upcoming titles.

While some of the stuff they talked about was interesting, for me, the most interesting part of the whole thing was when Activision talked about the new direction for the Call of Duty franchise.

They spent a lot of time talking about making the game and what they’ll do to make it more realistic and immersive. Things like the ability to vault over objects and lean around corners will certainly add a lot more depth to gameplay. Of course, these are things they should have been doing years ago (in my oh-so-humble opinion) but I suppose “late to the party” is better than “had to stay home with the stomach flu” so at least they’ve shown up.

We’ve got two different videos here. The first is the full video including the talk about the technology and all the nuts and bolts which were shown at the reveal. The second is just the reveal trailer without any of the rest of it…Because here at FEZ, we’re all about choice!

So check out the videos below and let us know what you think about the new installment in the Call of Duty franchise, in the comments section.

First is the whole enchilada. 11-plus minutes.

Next is the reveal trailer, by itself. Enjoy!
