Age Of Wushu – Beta Impressions

There are a LOT of gankers in this game. In the first 4 hours I played, I was “vendor-ganked” half a dozen times (though I did manage to hand the two guys who were close to my “level” their respective asses. I don’t know if Snail Games is planning to do anything about the rampant ganking but I can tell you that the bounty system seems to be doing nothing to dissuade the gankers from doing their thing…

…Gankers gonna gank, amirite?

Anyway, overall I’ve been having quite a bit of fun with the game. It does have it’s dark and seedy underbelly but there’s tons to do and the story line seems to be pretty well done…It’s moving along at a pretty good clip and definitely keeping me interested. I also don’t feel like not being a subscriber is crippling me in any way so those who want to get in on the F2P thing can feel assured that they aren’t going to get “play-to-win(ned)” by those who are subscribers.

If you’re looking for a pretty, well written and seemingly rich and deep MMO, I’d say give this one a shot. It’s still in beta but that seems to be going very well. I’ll let you all know more as time goes along.
