So we told you that Stephen Colbert handed over the reins of his Super PAC and formed an exploratory committee to determine if he would run for president in South Carolina. Since then the Super PAC has been releasing commercials like crazy.
Colbert called upon the internet to vote for Herman Cain saying “because Cain and I are so similar, I think that if this Saturday Herman Cain were to get a significant number of votes, that would be a sign that voters are hungry for a Stephen Colbert campaign.” Why would he do that? Because he is smart, he can’t be on the ballot in time for voting and Cain is not going to run for president. In one of the commercials the Super PAC put out they are asking you to vote for Herman Cain while showing a picture of Colbert.
Herman Cain is in on it saying “on Stephen Colbert’s endorsement of himself as Herman Cain, I find it very clever and humorous, as it should be,” Cain told Fox411. “Anyone who finds what Mr. Colbert is doing offensive, should simply lighten up. To be perfectly clear, I will not be assuming Stephen Colbert’s identity. We are very different when it comes to the color of our — hair.”
I’m personally excited to see what comes out of the whole thing. Now watch the commercials that have been released, one even went as far as calling Mitt Romney a serial killer!
