A study released by “Pew Internet” indicates that 90% of households in the United States own at least one gadget and…get this…the cellular phone seems to be the most popular!
WHO’DA THUNK IT?!
The survey, based on telephone interviews of 3,001 Americans age 18 and up (in both English and Spanish) was conducted between August 9 and September 13, 2010 by Princeton Survey Research Associates International and was originally targeted at tracking Americans’ use of the interwebs (That one’s easy…Google, youtube, facebook, porn…NEXT!).
So we’ve learned that Americans have cell phones and mp3 players.
Some other interesting points made on the Pew Internet website:
96% of Americans age 18-29 own a cell phone.
75% of American households contain a computer of some sort.
Americans prefer mobile gadgets.
Texting has increased substantially over the last year.
Cell phone and wireless internet use has increased over the last year.
Teens and young adults blog less than they used to.
I’ll tell you what. The next time some dickhead wants to chuck away a bunch of money, give it to ME and I’ll give you a bunch of useless stats that anything smarter than a drunken monkey could have figured out without bothering >9000 people during their dinner.
In other news, 87% of all statistics are made up on the spot.
