Over the years, eBay has kept their base design, updating a few things here and there. A few weeks ago eBay unveiled their new logo which has no replaced their old logo on the website. They just announced a newer design that includes some new features including a Pintrest looking custom homepage. Other new features include, search improvements, a cleaner product page with prominent product information, a faster way to checkout using PayPal and newly designed profiles.
So what exactly is the new feed? Let’s turn to eBay for the answer. “We understand that today’s consumers want a more personal and engaging shopping experience. So we’re proud to introduce the new eBay Feed, which offers consumers the ability to curate on eBay’s homepage a tailored shopping experience based on their interests, preferences and eBay history. With eBay’s vast selection of more than 350 million listings, the eBay Feed creates a highly personal, visual shopping experience. And each item is instantly shoppable, helping consumers easily connect to the things they need and love.”
If you would like to opt-in to the new custom feeds you can do so by clicking this link (US only). These changes will be rolling out over the next few months to everyone around the world though so don’t be upset if you can’t get the new feeds yet. It’s crazy to me to see eBay turning more into an online store. The only time I use eBay is when I know what I want to buy, I don’t actually browse the categories.
