Remember Antennagate, the iPhone’s first big scandal? Okay, so it was a bit hyped up by the media (not us, obviously), but Apple wound up losing a $53 million lawsuit about the issue, which means that the complaints must have had some kind of merit, right? Well, now it’s time for Apple to start writing checks and if you made a claim, yours should be on its way!
Of course, at $15, your apology note probably won’t fully reimburse you for your sadness for the past three years. Yeah, it’s been three years and two phones since this whole thing shook down. In fact, it’s funny to see Jobs’ iPhone 4 presentation in which he claims that the metal rim was designed to enhance antenna reception. In fact, holding the device – only a partial amount of phones from the first batch were affected – caused all those radio waves to wind up in your hand as subtle waves of heat instead of transmitted zeroes and ones.
