I'm always right!

I’m always right!

If you’ve never heard of Duolingo and you’ve been wanting to learn a new language, listen up. This entirely free service is now available on iOS and Android, making it even easier to learn a new language. I’ve been using Duolingo to learn German and I’m not that far – Ich einen Apfel, anyone? – but I do find the way Duolingo teaches easy to follow.

I’ve tried out Rosetta Stone and just didn’t like being thrown into a language and told to guess. Duolingo gamifies the learning process down to not only giving you badges and level progression but also limiting the number of errors before you have to start the lesson over. They mix up the way you learn things by making you type, multiple-choice questions quizzes and even speech recognition. It’s very cool!

It looks like the mobile app teaches the same way except maybe the speech recognition (I haven’t seen it yet). This app ensures I have no excuse to not spend more time learning German since I can easily open the app when I’ve got a few minutes of free time.

Check it out for yourself either on their website, the App Store, or the Play Store. Remember: it’s free!
