P90X, the intense 90 day workout program that’s been taking over the world for the last six years is now returning for another round of insanity. Tony Horton, creator of the popular muscle confusion series, also returns to help keep you focused (or annoyed) through a more agonizing 90 day cycle. So when’s the fat going to hit the fan? Find out after the break!
Other than the really advanced exercises, what was originally called P90X: MC2 (muscle confusion), will only have you suffer 5 days a week instead of 7. I’m not quite sure if that’s a blessing or a death sentence. Regardless of how difficult it will be, P90X2 will definitively be a breath of fresh air compared to it’s predecessor.
The original P90X has become rather dated over the years. The video quality is poor compared to any DVD that is produced today (Hopefully this trailer isn’t any indication of a repeat). The music screams of the late 90’s. And the most frustrating aspect of it all is knowing what Tony Horton will say, word-for-word, inflection and all. It eats away at your soul slowly. Plus, if you’ve done a few rounds before, the recipes from the nutrition guide get old real fast. But that’s a completely different story altogether.
I look forward to starting P90X2 but most of all look forward to memorizing Tony’s new quips. When this program lands, be sure to check back for a monthly update and review. That way you all can commiserate with me this coming fall.
Here’s just a taste of what I go through every day:
