I worked real hard earlier this year to watch the entirety of Breaking Bad, which is a really good show. In fact, the final eight episodes are my most-anticipated portions of TV this year. It makes sense that after all that money was made and all those hearts set aflutter that you’d want Walter White’s lawyer pal to star in his own spinoff series. You should make this happen with all of your powers.
Now, I knew of Bob Odenkirk before Breaking Bad, I’d even seen him in a few of his other shows, like Mr. Show, or his cameos on How I Met Your Mother, The Office, Arrested Development and a billion others. It wasn’t until Breaking Bad that I really got to know him, though. As the craft lawyer, knower of a thousand laws, he occasionally exercised poor judgment but ultimately as a cornerstone to Walter and Jesse’s invalid affairs. Now, as to whether this new show could be a full, outright comedy without the dramatic backing that Odenkirk’s Saul Goodman enlightens, I don’t think that’s quite as delectable.
Look, just make this happen right away. Sign everyone up and give them all the dollars they need.
