Over the past couple of years, the infamous RedBox has become increasingly popular — especially in our present economy. People have figured out that you don’t have spend more than $5 on a shitty movie. Now that Block Buster is no longer in the picture, where are we supposed to rent video games? Redbox acted based on the request of many gamers and are here to save the day!
Starting June 17th, fruggle geeks will finally be able to rent more than just movies from that giant Redbox contraption thingy. Soon, peeps can snag copies of newest releases for the Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii for only $2 and some change. However, depending on your laziness, this might end up costing you more than the entire retail price of the game.
Knowing how crowded these machines can get on any given weekend, I can foresee Mario and Sonic: London Olympic Games for the Wii the only game left to rent. No thanks. Also, I don’t know what it is about renting media that makes me feel dirty. Perhaps it’s the thought of other people’s grimmy hands all over the discs. Let’s be honest, they probably didn’t wash their hands before playing.
