Defiance, the MMOFPS/Network Television hybrid which we had good long play of at E3 is still trucking along nicely through the development process, as well as the production and shooting processes, and the developers over at Trion Worlds have pushed out a nice developer diary to get us up to date on what’s going on with the game and the TV show.
In case you didn’t know, Defiance is a media cross-over which will feature a persistent state world MMOFPS in which the players are faced with a hostile alien threat and rival players, as well as a global television series which is being produced by the SyFy network.
We still don’t know exactly how the television series will tie in with the game but I’ve been told that the two will reflect one another quite well, with the events and happenings from one effecting the events and happenings of the other.
In this developer diary, Trion Worlds devs talk about the PVP aspects of the game and how the player will be able to seamlessly transition from playing the PVE role to shooting people in the face and clue us in on the difference between this shooter and most other shooters on the market today.
I’m getting more and more excited for this one every time I hear about it. Check out the video below.
