Oh yeah, you read that correctly. The sequel to the mega-fun Sniper: Ghost Warrior is dropping for PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, in the near future and if it’s anything like the original, it’s going to be HOT! And by “HOT” I mean overflowing with snipey goodness.
A little bird has told me that Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 will be hitting shelves on March 12th, in the US and on March 15th in Europe, and that it will be available for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 system and Windows PC. That same birdy told me that it will be rated M for mature (of course it will be, because hair teeth and eyeballs).
Everybody knows that I LOVE me a good sniper game and the original Sniper: Ghost Warrior was a whole lot of fun…With millions of copies sold, it was also a very successful first-person shooter, which goes to show just how much people love shooting digital, animated characters in the head and NOT USING GAMES LIKE THIS TO TRAIN TO BE A TERRORIST OR A MASS MURDERER, NO MATTER WHAT CERTAIN DISBARRED LAWYERS MIGHT WANT YOU TO BELIEVE.
Isn’t that right, Jackie boy?
Marek Tyminski, CEO of CI Games, said:
“Ghost Warrior 2 will deliver an even greater experience for all those fans of the first game, expanding on this dramatic, exciting world of elite military service.”
This has me really excited. You see, the first game was almost as good as beer flavored nipples so a sequel which provides an “even greater experience”? Well, I honestly have no snappy quip for that one. All I can say is that if that’s true, it will be amazing.
And the even better news is that we’ve been told that we’re on the list for a review copy so when it comes out, I’ll play it up and I’ll tell all of you what I think of it. And knowing that I’m a sniper-game aficionado, you know you’ll get the straight skinny when I get a chance to write that review.
Stay tuned for more news on Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2!
