Harper Collins, a huge book publisher, is telling libraries that they need to buy a new version of any ebook that is checked out 26 times. The reason behind this is because they say that printed books only last that long and so ebooks should follow the same rules. Say what?
If you read between the lines they are saying we are greedy assholes and you need to buy more copies of our books to fill our pockets. Even some nice librarians decided to see how long some of their Harper Collins books have lasted. The finding are astonishing if you are a book nerd. If not then you might watch the first revealing of one of the books then stop the video. Anyway we all know that ebooks last AT LEAST 73 times before they self destruct. Don’t believe me? How many times have you read your most read ebook? Guarantee it hasn’t been 73 times!
