Nexus 4 Comes In White, Should You Still Buy One?

Forever growing smartphones…

Okay, I admit, the idea of LG making a flagship Nexus phone last year seemed like a really drab affair. When was the last time you intentionally bought an LG phone? Really. Well, now the Korean company is announced their Google-blessed smartphone will be available in white. Well, most of it will be white.

Because it makes sense, the front panel will still be black, which avoids the ‘bright frame’ effect when viewing the screen at night.

So should you still buy a Nexus 4? Sure, the specs are mid-level at best, like the Galaxy Nexus before it, but you’re not only getting a phone with stock Android, you’re getting international access with the swap of a SIM. Yeah, if I were a globetrotter (which I dream I am every day), I’d own one of these in a heartbeat. You can also buy it pretty cheap ($299) without a contract. That’s pretty great.

No word on when that white version’s coming, though. Hopefully it doesn’t fall into the iPhone 4 trap.
