Disturbed and Godsmack appeared on my scope at almost exactly the same time and seemed to get the same amount of play time – which was a lot – so they seem nearly inseparable in my brain. While Godsmack tackled the bar-ready, country brawling crowd, Disturbed was a bit higher concept, settling for stutter edits and sci-fi stylings. Their shit sorta fell apart after a few albums, then they disbanded, so it’s probably for the best I only remember their early singles.
