Sweet, sweet nectar pools in Steam’s store.

If you play games on that e-mail machine you call a gaming computer, you know how wonderful Steam is and we sure do, too. Well, now that it’s summer, it’s time for a Steam summer sale, with deals changing daily and awesome discounts on packs of games as well, many reduced between 70-80% and available for downloadable fury at the click of a button. Let’s take a look at a few of them going on today

Portal 2 @ $4.99 – How can you go wrong with the best puzzle game made in years? Even if you don’t care for the PC-exclusive tools like skins or the level editor, this is 100% necessary. You need to own this.

Super id Game Pack @ $49.99 – Basically includes every game they’ve ever made from Wolfenstein 3D all the way up to RAGE, last year’s tragically underrated shooter from the House of Carmack. You basically need it.

THQ Collection @ $49.99 – Loaded with a lot of Warhammer 40k releases (they really did make a lot of those, didn’t they?) and Company of Heroes, but you also get Saints Row: The Third and Titan Quest. Oddities: the blech Homefront and absolutely no Red Faction titles whatsoever.

We’ll take a look at a number of these if some catch our eyes going forward. Watch this space!
