
All your familiar arrows return. Water arrows extinguish torches, creating more darkness for you to slip through. Rope arrows work on specific anchor points along the ceiling to let you scale the level. They also teased fire arrows while a gaggle of guards stood on a pool of oil, but they didn’t want to cause a scene so early. With Garrett’s hook, this game features a lot of vertical it, allowing for quick escape maneuvers. There are plenty of secondary objectives to earn more cash if you’re a more methodical thief. The game retains the series’ trademark blue art scheme and hand drawn maps and every aspect they showed us didn’t seem to give much of an impression that this was merely gaffer tape and cardboard after reports of the game’s troubled development.
But there will definitely be aspects that will probably get the diehards miffed…
