Movie Review: The Hangover Part 2
If you want to have The Hangover 2 spoiled, just watch The Hangover. Like, just watch it before you go to the theaters. The two films are identical, note for note, but this grotesque sequel trades the bright and slightly more American Las Vegas setting for the dark and dingy slums of Bangkok. This film’s already made a trillion dollars so who cares what we think, but let’s be fair here, because we paid good money to see this in a movie theater: this movie is awful.
Movie Review: Priest
I saw Priest two weeks ago, but I have resisted writing a review about it. I’m not sure why – the movie is not particularly good and I’m not usually one to shy away from a chance to express my severe opinion about someone else’s hard work.
I guess the movie just didn’t leave much of an impression on me, which is unfortunate because I am a fan of the concept…
Phoenix Comicon : An Interview With The Organizers
More and more goodies are coming out of this year’s Phoenix Comicon every day. From the hunt for the wily Wil Wheaton to finding out that Adam Baldwin was 2 doors down from us at the Hyatt Regency to losing “The Game” (yeah, you just lost) during our live podcast, we all had a blast and we’re all looking forward to next year which, as we’re told by the organizers, is going to be even bigger and even better than this year!
What follows is an interview we had with Jillian Squires, Marketing Manager for the Phoenix Comicon.

The Phoenix Comicon “Zombie Walk” Gallery
Some people sign up for 5K runs. Some people sign up for half marathons. Others sign up to walk around dressed up as zombies. That’s right — The Phoenix Comicon hosted one of the largest zombie walks I have ever seen. Most of these people were so into character, I became very uncomfortable when they’d snarl at me. Great job guys!
Check out some of our favorite zombies after the break!
Growing Up TV: Eerie, Indiana
Before the viewer was in for a scare with the Goosebumps TV series, there was a lesser known and better series known as Eerie, Indiana. It’s tough adjusting to a new town when you move, and for the Teller family it’s near impossible when they move to Eerie. Marshall Teller (Omri Katz) and Simon Holmes (Justin Shenkarow) become friends when he moves in, sharing one common belief: Eerie is the weirdest place on Earth.
Phoenix Comicon Exhibitor Interview – Phi3 Comics
During the convention this weekend, we had an opportunity to sit down (or stand up, as the case may be) and talk with a lot of people. Some of the information we got we can share. Some of it we can’t. What we got from Ben Perez and Matt Rothblatt, the founders of Phi3 (That’s pronounced “FEE 3”) comics, we can share…and will.

Phoenix Comicon Photo-essay: The Exhibitor Hall Day One
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Haha, just kidding, I’m not really about to be mowed down by a well-dressed futuristic soldier, or am I? Welcome to the Phoenix Comicon Exhibitor Hall, a gathering of the famous, obscure, cheap, and passionate, all under one roof. From Stan Lee to pirated seasons of Power Rangers, this place has a lot to cover. Let’s take a tour shall we?
Phoenix Comicon: Why Do You Hate Us, William Atherton?
“Here.” Johnny said, handing me a twenty. “Let’s get some pictures with him.” Before a massive Stay-Puft marshmallow man and Ecto-1 from the 1984 smash hit Ghostbusters sit William Atherton, who played the oppressive (and dickless) Walter Peck from that film. Like a starving orphan, I walked up to what looked like his manager with the slightly crumpled currency in hand. “Yes, I’d like two pictures with William Atherton.” I said, saying it to the manager, but looking right at William. He bounced right up, as friendly as could be.
Growing Up TV: Eek! The Cat
Eek! The Cat was slapped on our TV sets courtesy of Nelvana and Fox Children’s Productions. Later in my life I learned Canadian company Nelvana had owned the rights to a popular 80’s show known as the Care Bears. This explains why they had Care Bear spin-offs named “The Squishy Bearz” (I always wondered how they didn’t get sued for that, depicting the furry critters as completely incompetent. [It’s called ‘satire’, covered under fair use. Just FYI. -Ed.] Eek tries his best to help others while falling into hilarious situations, and upon showing pictures of his girlfriend people usually reply how fat she is.
