Movie Review: The Adjustment Bureau
At this point, it seems like it’d be a futile exercise to make a film about fate. I mean c’mon now, everyone saw The Matrix, we get it already. But, The Adjustment Bureau is as clever as its origin – a short story written by the most adapted science fiction author of all time, Philip K. Dick (Blade Runner, A Scanner Darkly) – and as we see the roundabout way the Bureau handles those that defy its plan, we see a more humane take on the eternal question of free will and our ability to choose our destiny.
Supreme Court: Westboro Church Can Continue To Be Giant Douchebags
If you’re like me, or just a decent person altogether, then the mere thought of the Westboro Baptist Church may send a palm to your face, a shiver up your spine, or send your stomach churning, but in a near-unanimous ruling by the Supreme Court, America’s highest court sided with the divisive congregation.

Movie Review: Hall Pass
The Farrelly Brothers are back with their patented brand of gross-out humor in the new comedy Hall Pass, featuring Owen Wilson and Jason Sudeikis as two pals that get a week off from marriage. Streaming Sites Compared
In our latest Tech & Stuff podcast we were talking about Amazon Prime users getting instant watch videos and I was saying that if Netflix had any competition it would be Amazon and the guys argued that I was wrong. Well the good folks at Clicker put together the above chart detailing how many titles are available for streaming at these sites currently. It looks like Netflix is the king in all categories as far as numbers but Hulu is delivering a lot more current TV shows than Netflix does. Do you have a subscription to Netflix, Hulu or Amazon Prime? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
Whoa Christina, “Slow Down Baby”
Developing all over TMZ and other scandalous entertainment sites (FleshEatingZipper) is Christina Aguilera and boyfriend’s public drunkenness that occurred early this morning. Both were taken into custody for public intoxication and driving under the influence. While sobering up, Christina stated that she was “Not Myself Tonight” and “Understands” what happened. ‘”I’m OK” and we’re “On Our Way” to recovery, because “Back in the Day” when “I Got Trouble”, Matt would “Lift Me Up” and “Save Me From Myself”‘.
It looks like she’s going “Back to Basics”.

Movie Review: The Fall
There’s something very satisfying when a director is able to scrape together his resources and produce the weird, out-of-contention film of their dreams. In Tarsem’s case (The Cell, with Jennifer Lopez), that film happens to be The Fall, a labor of love shot over four years in the world’s most exotic locations. Unfortunately, the film’s thread of a plot just can’t translate these beautiful vistas into a good film.
