BeastRig Announces Their Beastrig Line Of Gaming PC’s
So, you’ve been playing SWTOR for a few weeks now and you’re getting little tired of getting ganked into the middle of unholy shit ratchet by the zit-faced 12 year olds with their high end computers their mommy and daddy bought them for Christmas as a reward for not getting straight F’s for the sixth semester in a row, right? Well, there’s help!
Beastrig has just announced their new line of gaming PC’s for the masses.
Lucasfilm Honoring The Tuskegee Airmen – Wells Fargo Sponsoring Film “Red Tails”
If you don’t know anything about the “Tuskegee Airmen”, or about what they did for this country, you may be a little bit surprised when you start doing some research or if you go watch this film.
The Tuskegee Airmen were a group of fighter pilots from World War II who flew in the 332nd Fighter Group and the 477th Bombardment Group in the U.S. Army Air Corps who gained a great deal of fame due to the (disputed) legend that they never lost a bomber when they were on escort duty…And also for the fact that they were all African Americans who, until the creation of the 332nd, had never been allowed to fly in combat.
Disabled Gamers Award Star Wars: The Old Republic “Game of the Year” Honors
Despite Nick’s hate of SWTOR and Keith’s hate for MMO’s in general (and the fact that they both obviously suffer from some form of mental disability for the fact that they don’t LOVE this game), the disabled gaming community has given it a huge honor by awarding it with their game of the year title, stating:
Every year there are two or three highly anticipated games released with massive hype and record-setting expectations. Most times these games fall completely flat when it comes to game accessibility, but this year one game set itself apart by including a fair amount of accessibility at launch while still meeting the public’s expectations for an amazing game.
Megaupload Shut Down – FBI Charges 7 People With Piracy
Just one day after countless websites went dark in protest of SOPA and PIPA, the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation shut down the file sharing site megaupload.com and has filed charges against 7 people.
While investigators claim this has nothing to do with the international shitstorm surrounding the hilariously – and terrifyingly – draconian proposed legislation aimed at curbing online piracy, one has to wonder.
BioWare Makes A PVP Booboo In SWTOR, PVP Radicals Up In Arms
Star Wars: The Old Republic got hit with a patch yesterday (1-18) which introduced a bunch of goodies and fixed a bunch of bugs. Unfortunately, that patch also introduced a bug in the world PVP system on the planet Ilum, which allowed players to invade the spawns of the opposing faction and beat them into the middle of the 9th ring of hell before they could even respond.
BioWare discovered the bug and are releasing an emergency patch for it this morning but some of the “vocal minority” in the community are spewing their hatred over at the SWTOR forums, saying they’re cancelling and having a big cry about the show thing.
Star Wars: The Old Republic Patch 1.1 Goes Live – Also, Legacy System Teaser
This morning, BioWare shut down the SWTOR servers to release the new version of the game, in patch 1.1 – Rise of the Rakghouls, after having to delay it to finalize some bug-fixes.
The 123 megabyte download and patch contains a fairly impressive array of fixes and features, as seen in the patch notes.
Today, Game Director James Ohlen released a statement on the SWTOR website, regarding this new patch.

Star Wars: The Old Republic – Patch 1.1 Notes
Well, after a bit of a delay, Bioware has released SWTOR Patch 1.1, Rise of the Rakghouls.
I’m not going to go into a whole lot of commentary, because there’s a LOT to read below so just go ahead and jump into the article for the official patch notes. There’s a LOT of stuff there.
SWTOR Version 1.1 – Rise Of The Rakghouls – Delayed
Fans of the hit game Star Wars: The Old Republic who have been looking forward to the new content patch are going to have to wait a little longer, according to BioWare.
Of course, this is the kind of thing that spawns 117,268,372,465 threads in the forum, full of people with entitlement issues crying because they can’t get their new content on but, for those of us with sense, it’s a lot better that they make sure it’s working than release it before its time and break the game.

This morning, Idea Fabrik dropped a press release regarding their HeroEngine, the technology behind Star Wars: The Old Republic and their HeroCloud service, which aims to host games developed with their engine.
