BioWare Applies A (Broken?) Patch In Yet Another Off-Cycle Server Takedown

BioWare took down their servers again last night to apply another patch, this one intended to fix a bug in the PVP system but it seems the patch may not have worked.

Star Wars: The Old Republic – Patch 1.1.2 Now On The Test Server

The good folks at BioWare have posted the SWTOR 1.1.2 patch notes so we all get to have an idea of what they’re doing for us in the future. It looks like they are working on a bunch of class balancing stuff as well as general bug fixes for gameplay, quests and flashpoints.

If you’re playing any of the character classes who are getting touched in this patch, have a good look at what they’re going to be doing and make sure you’re ready to re-spec and learn your new build before the patch hits and you’re left in a lurch.

BioWare Decides To Shut Down SWTOR Servers…On A Friday Night. DERP! (Updated)

In what can only be described as a 40 pound box of fail, someone at BioWare decided to shut down the game servers for maintenance in the middle of Friday night / Saturday morning play.

I’m not sure who forgot to tell them that they have the highest traffic, on the weekends but…That person should have sent the memo.

Also, not only did they decide to shut down the servers, they also locked the forums, presumably to stop people raging at them.
