Tomb Raider – The New Trailer, Cometh.
The new, old, Lara Croft. My oh my, this game looks hot!
Square Enix has released a new trailer for the Tomb Raider franchise’s newest entry, a prequel to the original 1996 release of the game.
In this trailer, we get the ultra-rare chance to see Lara Croft BEFORE she was a tomb raider. We’ve also got the original trailer from E3, just in case you missed it.
Planetside 2 Beta Keys? We Haz Them! And We’ll Be Giving Them Away! [UPDATE: We Are Out!]
Beta? YAY-TA!
As I’ve discussed, my hands-on time with Planetside 2 was one of my highlights at E3. It was so good, in fact, that we awarded it Best Shooter and Best MMO at E3 2012.
The beta for the game is going to begin soon (the date has not been disclosed but they have said “soon”) and people from all over the world are going to be able to get their hands on the game long before the public at large sees it.
E3 2012 – Hands On With Sleeping Dogs By Square Enix
Hong Kong. The bright lights, the bustling city, the Triads.
At E3 2012, we got our hands on LOTS of titles and were able to play some really stunning new games and IP’s as well as sequels and reboots of existing games and IP’s. From mobile games to console games to PC games, we spent all of our time there looking at all of the things that are coming up in the near future, as well as some things which are further out toward the horizon.
One of the more exciting experiences I had was when I got my hands on the new IP by Square Enix, known as “Sleeping dogs”.
More, More Halo 4? Yep!
Halo 4…The continuation of a legendary era
We’ve been on a bit of a Hal0 4 kick today, and there’s a reason for that. “What’s the reason?”, you ask? Well, because…HALO!
Duh!
One of the most successful IP’s in video gaming history is continuing on, with a new story, new weapons, sharp new graphics and lots of Halo goodness.
Halo 4 Multiplayer – Red Vs. Blue Explained – With Gameplay Video
Why do those crazy Spartans keep killing each other? Let’s find out!
At E3 2012, we saw a lot of big titles. One of the biggest was undoubtedly Halo 4. As part of the discussions on the mega-hit franchise, we were told that the new release would solidify the adversarial facet of the multiplayer game and give it meaning.
It was explained to us that there would be a reason for the Spartans to be fighting one another, rather than just running about and seeing who could score the most headshots, flag captures and kills. They said that an explanation was coming that would tie it all together and make it make sense; That it wouldn’t just be Spartans killing Spartans any longer.
That explanation has come.
American Idol Video Game Coming? Yep!
Wait? American Idol GAMES? You read that correctly! Majesco Entertainment today announced a partnership to produce interactive games based on the ultra-popular and award winning television series.
We don’t have a whole lot of details at this time but we know that the games are coming and that Majesco will have exclusive rights to publish them in North America. We will be posting updates to this as they come available to us, as well, so keep checking in, and read on for the details we DO have!
E3 2012 – Hands On With Hitman Absolution
Chinatown; The fish, the soup, the assassinations…
Yeah, the E3 2012 articles are going to keep coming for a while, mostly because we saw so much stuff it’s nearly impossible to bang out all of the articles at once. This time around I’m going to talk about Hitman Absolution by Square Enix and later, I’ll be talking about Sleeping Dogs, also by Square Enix.
While we were at E3, I did get a chance to play Hitman Absolution, for…well, for a while. There was only one mission available but I played through it a few times and was able to get a good feel for how the game plays. Read on to see what I thought about it.
E3 2012 – Hands On With Trion Worlds’ Defiance
A cross-media, video game / television series? Yeah, that's happening.
When Trion Worlds told me about their upcoming title “Defiance”, I was immediately intrigued. Not only were they sporting a “Best OF” caliber RTS but now they were telling me they have an MMO-Shooter which is going to tie in to a television series on SyFy?
Well, I just had to find out what this was all about, so I headed over to Defiance and had me a little peek!
E3 2012 – Hands On With Trion Worlds’ Award Winning RTS – End Of Nations
Yeah, it's like THAT.
At E3 this year I was invited to join Trion Worlds to try out their groundbreaking new RTS “End of Nations”.
Now; I’m not going to lie…I’ve never been a fan of RTS games. I played Command and Conquer and Warcraft and Starcraft and all of the rest of them because as a gamer I’m pretty much obligated to, so I have a damned good idea how they play…I just don’t like them very much because…
…Well because I suck at them.
That doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate a nice RTS, though, and that’s just what End of Nations is. A very, VERY nice RTS.
