I’m not going to go into details, mostly because I’m not in the mood for the macabre, but it has been confirmed that Andy Whitfield has passed away.

9-11-01 – Ten Years Later

So…Here were are…The tenth anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center.

Funny, that…Any time you ask about what happened on 9-11-01, people always say “Terrorists blew up the World Trade Center” or “The World Trade Center got attacked by terrorists flying planes”. Even if you do a search on Google, you come up with top results like “Terrorist Attack: World Trade Center on September 11”.

There’s almost no mention of the attack on the Pentagon or United Airlines flight 93, which went down in Pennsylvania.

Let’s Talk About Survivor – The Most Inaccurate Show Title EVER?! I Think So!

In 5 days, the mega-hit television series “Survivor” will start its 23rd season, in the South Pacific – Specifically, in Upolu, Samoa.

I watched the first season of Survivor and about half of the second season before I became so disgusted with the show that I couldn’t bear to watch it any longer. I got a wild hair and started checking out one of the more recent seasons and it’s even more frustrating than the earlier ones.

Read after the break to find out why.

Game Review – My Country for Facebook and Android

The people from Game Insight – the company who brought us Paradise Island – dropped me an email several weeks ago and told me they were getting ready to release a new game and asked if I would review it for them. I agreed and, after a couple of weeks, they sent me a link to the game, along with a nice press release for our site, so I could download it and install it on my Android for review as well as publicizing the title for them.

I’m only just getting around to reviewing it, for a couple of reasons.

Are You Prepared For The Zombie Apocalypse?

As many are aware, Ali Khan – the Assistant Surgeon General – released a blog post through the Centers for Disease Control a few months ago in which he discussed being prepared for a zombie apocalypse.

While most of the people who read that post probably scoffed and thought “What a bunch of hogwash”, the CDC is super serious about making sure we’re prepared for any serious emergency.

Minecraft – Revisited [UPDATED WITH VIDEO]

Some time ago, we talked about Minecraft, (Ok, we’ve talked about it a bunch of times but it’s been a while) and how its 8-bit charm is…well…charming.

Back then, the game was pretty limited. The things one could create, the usefulness of the various created objects, etc…It was pretty much mine and build and mine and build and kill a spider and mine and build. These days, though, the world of Minecraft is much bigger and much bolder than it was in those days.

Oh LAWD! Star Trek TOS On Netflix Is Modernized And In HD?!

It sure is!

I started re-watching Star Trek – The Original Series a few days ago because I was bored out of my brain. When I started streaming it on Netflix I thought, right away, that something was odd…Different…I don’t remember the Enterprise looking like that. They didn’t have special effects like that in 1966.
